Betty Louise Forslund

January 26, 1939 - January 1, 2021

Betty Louise "Betsy" Forslund, age 81, passed unexpectedly on January 1, 2021 following many years' struggle with kidney disease. Born in Fountain Hill Pennsylvania, Betsy was raised in Norwell Massachusetts and lived for a time in Wappinger's Falls New York before moving to Cape Cod Massachusetts and settling in Seneca, South Carolina. Tragically preceded in death by her daughter Jenica, Betsy is survived by long-time friend and companion Paul Coster, daughter Krista and her long-time friend and companion Roger, granddaughter Ashlyn and son-in-law Bill. Remembered as a "strong but gracious" woman by those who knew her best, Betsy's home was never complete without an entourage of "critters": beloved companion animals including "Ollie" the African Grey Parrot, "Magnolia" (Noli) the Great Pyrenees dog and "Goody" the cat. A dedicated employee of many years with Otis Air Force base and the Jenny Craig company, in her spare time Betsy could be found indulging a life-long love of history, guiding tours of the Ashtabula & Woodburn Historic Homes of Pendleton, South Carolina.
