Corinne “Connie” Moore Stoker, age 61, died November 22, 2015, at the GHS Hospice of the Foothills Cottingham House in Seneca, South Carolina. Connie Stoker was born in Atlanta, Georgia on August 25, 1954, the daughter of James Norris Moore III and Gussie Sinclair Foster Moore. She attended school at Westminster in Atlanta and graduated from the University of Virginia in 1975 with a BA in Psychology and induction into Phi Beta Kappa. She received her JD from the University of William and Mary in 1978 and LLM from the University of Missouri in 1984. She practiced law in Kansas City, Missouri and is a member of the Bar in Virginia and Missouri. She relocated to Wilmette, Illinois with her husband in 1982 where they had and raised their three children. She was a loving mother to her three children and a devoted wife for 39 years. Connie was a lifelong member of the United Methodist Church, starting at Northside (Atlanta), actively attending Trinity (Wilmette) for nearly 30 years, and most recently at Saint Mark United Methodist Church (Seneca). Connie is survived by her husband: Joseph Nelson Stoker, daughter Claire Paden Weber, son James Errington Stoker, son William Moore Stoker, mother Gussie Foster Moore, father James Norris Moore III, sister Claire Moore Yates, brother James Holloway Moore, and a number of loving nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be conducted at 1:00PM, Saturday, November 28, 2015, at Saint Mark United Methodist Church in Seneca, South Carolina. In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to the Melanoma Research Foundation.
