Mrs. Eldra Cutchens

Eldra Cutchens, age 89, passed away on December 3, 2022, while in home Hospice Care at Dominion Senior Living in Clemson, SC. Eldra Knight Cutchens was born August 14, 1933, in Climax, GA, the daughter of Cuy Abner Knight, Sr. and Missouri Taylor Knight. She was a graduate of Climax High School. She married L. Wayne Cutchens in 1952 and spent her life building a home and serving as an Administrative Assistant for the Tennessee State Patrol and the Georgia State Legislature along with working hard to fulfill her dream of becoming an Interior Designer. She was a devoted Christian and prayer warrior. Her testimony will live long with many she touched. She loved to send cards for special occasions and randomly for support. She was always quick witted and prided herself at keeping a sharp mind along with orderly surroundings. Her family and friends will miss her dearly along with her sense of humor, determination, and strength. In addition to her parents, Eldra was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, L. Wayne Cutchens and her siblings, Cuy Knight, Jr., Jerry Knight, Carolyn Knight Harrison, and Sarah Knight Harrison. Survivors include her daughter, Sherry Watson and her husband Richard Watson of Seneca, SC; her daughter Marsha Fowler and her husband Daniel Fowler of Lawrenceville, GA; her grandson, Jeremy Watson and his wife Karey Watson of Cheyenne, WY; her grandson, Jonathan Watson and his wife Betsy Watson of Rutledge, GA; her granddaughter, Sara Fowler Leedekerken and her husband Jake Leedekerken; her four great grandchildren; Nathaniel Watson, Raelan Watson, Elease Leedekerken, and Asher Leedekerken; her siblings, Latrelle Knight Goggins and her husband Max Goggins of Ponte Vedra, FL; Durwood Knight and his wife Carol Knight of Cahutta, GA and her sister in law, Jackie Knight of West Virginia. There will not be a funeral nor a Memorial service at this time; however, a small family joint Memorial service for both Eldra and Wayne Cutchens will be held in the late Spring or early Summer of 2023.
